Discovery Mental Health Counseling, PLLC, located in Middle Village, NY, and Orlando, FL, has been serving clients for almost 20 years. The practice offers a range of mental health services. It specializes in treating mental health issues, behavioral problems, and interpersonal dynamics with bilingual staff members who speak English and Spanish. Services include psychosocial evaluations for immigration purposes, groups, continuing education, and more. Many team members started their journey with us as interns and have stayed on board and become leaders in our practice while building their own practice.

Role Description

This is a virtual role for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Discovery Mental Health Counseling, PLLC (Limited-Permit MHC’s will also be considered). The counselor will be responsible for treatment planning, mental health counseling, proper documentation, and client case management.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

  • Supervisory experience a plus

  • Strong writing skills

  • Ability to learn EHR and online systems quickly

  • Treatment Planning and Case Management experience

  • Mental Health Counseling experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Knowledge of diverse therapeutic techniques

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in New York or Florida preferred

  • Must be at least limited-permit eligible

  • Experience working with diverse populations and trauma survivors

Office Hours:

Office hours are from 12 PM - 9 PM Monday - Thursday and from 8 AM to 5 PM on Saturdays. We are looking for someone who can have at least 40 session spots available per week (Caseload built up over time).
